Review

1.
Sigan (Intro)
This introduction announces an album in which there
will be dance songs, since the sound you can hear
is the same one as in the song "Wiheoman yeonchul"
but slower. This intro lasts 38 seconds, and it is
not the kind of intro you will listen to more than
one time when you hear the album for the first time.
2. Wiheoman yeonchul
And this is indeed
a dance song that you will hear first with this track.
The verses are more or less like the other songs,
but the chorus and the music between the chorus and
the verses are very addictive. Chaeyeon's voice is
pretty and clear, it fits this kind of songs very
well.
3. Sarangneukkim
This song is also a dance song, it is a happier one
that will make you smile by the feeling brought by
Chaeyeon's voice, but it is not as addictive as the
previous song. There is no real chorus, so this track
is a little repetitive.
4.
Sojunghan sarang
"Sojunghan sarang" is the first slow song
of the album. It is more a sad song than a happy one,
you can feel it from the first verse. But the chorus
is quite disappointing, it is not very original and
the time seems a little too long when you listen to
the whole song.
5. Namjaui
When the song starts, you can hear some latino/spanish
sounds that will create a dance song with a latino
feeling during the whole song, in the music and in
Chaeyeon's singing. The chorus could have been more
powerful but Chaeyeon's voice remains as soft as usual
and it is good enough to make you dance on it.
6.
Seip keurobeo (Safe club)
This song sounds different from the others from the
beginning, since you can hear an acoustic guitar.
It is not a ballad but a mid-tempo song with calm
verses and a happy chorus which is very pleasant to
hear.
7.
Gido
With this song, we return in the dance atmosphere
of the album with a song which is rather an upbeat
one. There are some eurobeat sounds in the music but
not too much, the atmosphere remains serious. It is
a good song but not among of the best ones.
8. Neomanui maeryeok
"Neomanui maeryeok" is a dance song again,
but like "Sarangneukkim" there is a happy
atmosphere that doesn't make it unforgettable, it
remains very simple in the melody and the music.
9. Sangcheo
This song is the first one which sounds like an R&B
one in the album. In the verses, Chaeyeon sings softly,
whereas her song is very powerful in the chorus. Even
if it is not the same kind of song as the other ones,
this kind of music fits her really well and we can
already imagine the dance that she will be doing on
such a song.
10. Oraedoen yeonin
A dance song again ! This one has a happy atmosphere
again, but i think the chorus is more attractive and
the rhythm a little faster.
11. Somun
I don't even remember listening to this song. It is
a dance one again, the rhythm is basically the same
as the previous one, but there are some little electronic
sounds in the back and a melody that you won't even
care about which make it very strange and not interesting
at all. The atmosphere created is quite monotonous.
12. Hyusik (Outro)
If it wasn't the outro, i would ask why it is a melody
played by a piano whereas there was only one slow
song in the whole album. It is a beautiful melody,
but quite repetitive and it doesn't suit the atmosphere
of the album. It lasts 1'22 minute.
Conclusion
If you don't hate dance songs, you must listen to
this album, at least to pick your favorite songs in
it (because i think you won't like them all), especially
"Wiheoman yeonchul" that sums up well the
atmosphere of the album. Unfortunately, a lot of songs
are less interesting, the rhythm is often the same
and it seems like you are listening to the same song
many times but with slight differences in the melody.
But it is a good introduction to Chaeyeon's career
that will evolve in each album.
