Review

1.
Chakhangeojitmal
Lee Seunggi starts with his favourite style, ballads.
This one starts with a soft piano melody, while the
chorus gets very powerful with Lee Seunggi's great
voice, expressing very well emotions.
2. Tujeong
Another ballad, in which the music feeling is less
sad and powerful than the first one. It is a gentle
ballad, with a rather calm voice.
3. Wae... geoni
The feeling in this one is different, since is starts
with a dynamic melody made of piano and violons, and
then suddenly stop for another rhythm for the first
verse. "Wae... geoni" is not a real ballad,
the rhythm is quite dynamic, especially in the chorus.
I think this one will be one of the most powerful
ones of the album.
4.
Geuraetnayo
The introduction
made of piano, electric guitar and violons announces
another real ballad. The singer's voice is very soft
during the verses, and gets powerful during the chorus
which is very beautiful.
5. Michidorok
From the very beginning,
this song seems different from all the other ones.
It is rather happy compared to the previous ballads,
it has a little R&B feeling in the music too.
6. Mianhaehajimayo
We go back to Lee Seunggi's
common style with this mid-tempo ballad, in which
he uses his soft voice while the music is quite different
from the other songs in the chorus.
7. Jalmot
"Jalmot"
also looks like a ballad at the beginning since Lee
Seunggi's voice is very calm but it is a mid-tempo
one again, which has a dynamism in the music, especially
in the parts after the chorus.
8. Ondo
This
song starts very slowly with piano and voice only,
and violons coming slowly from the background. It
is the first real ballad since many songs. In the
instrumental part, an acoustic guitar joins. In this
song, there is no part in which it becomes very powerful,
it always remains very calm and the instruments are
very noticeable.
9. Happy ending
The
title of this track is well illustrated from the beginning
with a mid-tempo rythm and a lead melody played with
an harmonica, giving a happy feeling.
10. Smile boy
The
very start of this song is very surprising, with electric
guitars giving a rock sound, very fast compared to
all the other songs, and Lee Seunggi's very powerful
voice, very different as he sings loudly and reaches
higher notes with full voice. It is a joyful song
that you will definitely enjoy.
11. Chakhangeojitmal (Piano ver.)
After
"Smile boy", we can consider this as a bonus
track as it radically changes the atmosphere.
There is no big difference with the original version
since the rhythm remains the same. It is still a beautiful
track in which you can hear even more clearly Lee
Seunggi's voice.
Conclusion
If you like Lee Seunggi, you will definitely like
this album. If you don't know this singer, you can
easily start with this one and get to know his great
voice and ballad style. There is no bad song in this
album, the whole thing is very calm and pleasant,
and there are very good tracks which are, in my opinion,
the main song "Chakhangeojitmal", "Wae...
geoni", "Geuraetnayo" and "Ondo".
Finally, "Smile boy" should surprise you
and make you happy with its rock sound and Lee Seunggi's
great energy.
