Review
]
1.
Summer dream
This summer song starts with a typical Jpop song feeling,
with the chorus which is not very original. But the
verses change everything with the addition of violons
and good vocals. Then, the group's joy should get
you, and the short lyrics between the chorus and the
verses, "wow~ na na na~" can easily stick
into your head. The good suprise is the rap with Micky
and U-know, associated with violons and more bass.
2. Song for you
This song is almost a ballad. I don't think it suits
Dong Bang Shin Gi very well, and i also think it doesn't
suit boys. The music is light, the rhythm is calm,
and the chorus makes me remember another Jpop song
(although i don't know which one exactly), you may
find it repetitive since the voices are not very powerful,
the music has no special originality, and it gives
the impression to be long.
3. Love in the ice
This third song is a "fresh"
ballad, as the title could say it. The main point
here is the group's vocal abilities. They all sing
in a very powerful way, especially Xiah's voice which
is very noticeable in this song. This is the kind
of song in which there's a part with less music, where
all the members sing but not all together, one by
one, sometimes superposed. The music itself recalls
Jpop ballads too but you will only hear those voices
here.

HUG (Acappella ver.)
As a bonus in
one of the CD versions, the first Korean song of the
group "HUG" in its Japanese ver., and a
cappella ! It is the first time there is a full a
cappella version for this song. And it is a success
! The beginning is slower than the introduction of
the Japanese version, but then the original rhythm
is used. I think we can hear that their vocals have
improved since they recorded the Japanese version.
The only bad thing is that it is very, very short
(1'46).

Conclusion
A fresh single to go with you until the end of this
summer ! If you know "Sky" (their previous
summer single), i think "Summer dream" as
even more the "joy" feeling you can have
during summer, and the two songs are really different,
especially with the new rap parts. "Love in the
ice" is also great for all the lovers of powerful
voices and high notes whereas "Song for you"
should not be the reason why you will like this single.
Finally, the acappella version of "HUG"
is very well done but it is far too short.
