24th, BoA's blog high popularity in Japan
The female solo singer BoA, who has a great
success in Japan, opened her Japanese blog in June
2007. Inside it, she introduces Korean meals and places,
which interested a lot her Japanese fans. She said
she wants to write many posts, about what she think,
what she feels and especially about her activities
in Korea. This blog gained a high popularity and was
sometimes ranked in the first places of the Oricon
website ranking for blogs, which is the best Japanese
blog ranking available. The reason of this success
is probably that she does write many posts, generally
every two days and she also posts pictures.

22nd, Dong Bang Shin Gi's 4th Korean album
in January ?
The popular group Dong Bang Shin Gi is currently
in Japan with probably two new singles until the end
of the year, and unlike 2006, they should be in Japan
in the end of December to participate in the well-known
Japanese show "Kouhaku Utagassen". The group's
official Korean website announces a Fan meeting on
January 19th/20th 2008 with their Korean fanclub Cassiopeia,
so it probably means it will be a showcase for their
4th album, like they did for their 2nd and 3rd albums.
20th, New mini album for Big Bang
The R&B and hip hop group Big
Bang released its first mini album called "Always"
to celebrate their first year. It contains five tracks
and, as always, the members of the group participated
actively to their production.

20th, Lee Seunggi's third album
The male solo singer Lee
Seunggi released his third album, after releasing
an album made of covers only. The main song of this
album is "Chakhangeojitmal"
(White lie) which is a ballad.

news - August 13th to August 19th ]
19th, Bi and Lee Minwu cancelled some concerts
The popular singer Bi (RAIN) recently cancelled
all his concerts in America for financial and technical
reasons. Lee Minwu also cancelled his concerts in
Pekin because the Chinese agency in charge of the
organization didn't respect the contract.
14th, A Korean singer #4 in an American chart
The Korean singer Skull, from the duet Stony
Stunk, started a career alone in America. This week,
Skull got closer to the first place by reaching the
4th (he was the 5th last week) in the Billboard Chart
with his song "Boom di boom di" in the category
"Best R&B/Hip hop singles sellings".
13th, Yunha chosen to promote icecream
Actually, Yunha didn't shot any new CF (Korean
advertisement) for icecream, but the website Junk
On did a poll to know which female singer would be
the most popular to shot an icecream CF, and the chosen
one is the popular female solo singer Yunha ! Then,
Solbi, the group Typhoon, and Dana from the group
Cheonsangjihui The Grace.
13th, Chae Eunjeong's new name in China
The female solo singer Chae Eunjeong debuted
in July in China, at the HNX Hallyu Concert, and her
blog was opened recently on China's biggest portal,
Sina.com. She posted some news about her career in
it such as the name of her first solo album title
song "Pop", pictures and many other things,
and on August 8th, the number of visitors reached
80 000. She also got some 500 comments. In those comments,
she got a new surname in Chinese which means "Sexy
princess". Now, Chae Eunjeong's record company
will do its best to let her become a Hallyu star in
China.

news - August 6th to August 12th ]
10th, Two Korean singers invited on a Chinese
TV show
Hangyeong and Siwon from the Korean male
idol group Super Junior were invited on August 9th
to be the lead of a Chinese entertainment show. They
appeared during an hour to mark the show's tenth anniversary.
This kind of performance is rare from Korean singers.
During this hour, Hangyeong showed hip hop and traditional
dances, while Siwon did a taekwondo demonstration
which were very well received by the 800 people in
the audience. The tickets to assist the show were
given out by drawing and some of them were sold for
as much as 250 000 won (nearly 270$). It will air
in August 18th.
10th, A Tachyon member debuts as an actor
Son Hojun, member of the male trio Tachyon,
will debut as an actor in China. He will be appearing
in a joint Korean-Chinese TV drama, in which the main
role will be played by Danny Ahn. So Hojun, who already
left in Shanghai to film the drama, will be playing
the role of a Chinese boy going to China to achieve
his Chinese dream. It will air for the first time
in early 2008, on China's CCTV, and in Korea in December.
9th, Dong Bang Shin Gi's next Japanese releases

Dong Bang Shin Gi is preparing many releases
for September and October 2007.
On September 26th, they will release their 13th Japanese
single "SHINE / Ride on" in two versions
: CD only with a 12 pages booklet for the limited
version, and a CD+DVD one with Off shot movie for
the limited version. The CD only version will contain
an additional remix of their 11th single "Lovin'
you". The same day, they will release their second
Japanese live DVD of their second Japanese live tour
"2nd Live Tour - Five in the black -" which
will contain 2 discs. There is already a first press
limited edition. They will also release their second
Japanese artist book called "Tankobon" on
September 11th.

they will release three albums. Two of them are Japanese
editions of their Korean albums "Vol.2 : Rising
Sun" and "Vol.3 : 'O' - Jeong.Ban.Hap",
and the third one is, for the first time, a remix
album called "TVXQ non-stop mix Vol.1".

The number of releases may be quite surprising, but
the most surprising thing is "ALL ABOUT Dong
Bang Shin Gi 2" which has no release date in
Korea yet, while the first DVD Box "ALL ABOUT
Dong Bang Shin Gi" released in 2006 was the most
sold DVD in all categories in Korea that year.
7th, A great success for Mina's new Chinese album
Mina's fourth album in Chinese will be released
later this month, and it already received 150 000
pre-orders in China. Her management is stunned by
this record which would also be great for a Chinese
singer. The promotion of her fourth album will take
place in Korea while she will be having concerts in
Thailand, the Philippines and China.
6th, The female singer Bada in two musicals
Bada will be in two musicals soon, in October.
The first one is a one-person musical, "Tell
me on a Sunday", and the second one is a French
one, "Notre-Dame de Paris". She will even
receive training from the French cast who performed
in Korea in 2005. There will also be Korean actors
in the cast.
6th, KCM will be debuting in Japan
The Korean singer KCM started his Japanese
career on Wednesday 8th. His Japanese official website
was opened the singer will do his first Japanese concert
at the Tokyo Nakano Sun Plaza Hall in October. KCM
only released two digital singles earlier this year
in Korea, and they had a very good success. KCM is
said to have an attractive voice that no singer can
imitate.

news - July 30th to August 5th ]
5th, Clazziquai concerts in Korea and Japan
Clazziquai's third album, released on June
9th, 2007 in Korea and Japan, is a good succes in
both countries. To thank their fans, the group organized
a concert tour in both Korea and Japan, starting with
Seoul in mid-July and then in Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo
in Japan in the end of July and early August. Tokyo's
concert tickets were sold in a day, and the TV Channel
"Music ON!" aired the whole concert in live
in the country.

1st, Dynamic Duo to perform with the Black
Eyed Peas
The Black Eyed Peas will be having their
first Seoul concert on August 15th, and the popular
Korean hip-hop group Dynamic Duo will perform on their
opening stage at the Fencing Stadium at Seoul Olympic
Park. It is more significant since the Black Eyed
Peas chose them themselves, going through many Korean
CDs and videos from different artists. Dynamic Duo
said they were honored to go on stage with the Black
Eyed Peas because they are big fans.
1st, SS501's first single on the fifth place
After having debuted in Japan with some events,
SS501 released on August 1st its first Japanese single,
"Kokoro" ! They did a great performance
by reaching the fifth place of the Oricon ranking
on August 1st ! But this performance was only done
for one limited version of the single, the leader's.
The single was released in five limited versions,
each version contains a solo song cover by one member.
The normal version only reached the 19th place.

1st, Dong Bang Shin Gi's first #1 single in Japan
Dong Bang Shin Gi (Tohoshinki in Japan) released
its new Japanese single on August 1st, "SUMMER
-Summer dream / Song for you / Love in the ice-".
It had been several times that their singles entered
in the top 10 of the Oricon ranking, since the second
single and including the regular editions, but the
first place had not been reached yet. Their previous
single "Lovin' you" was already close, reaching
the second place. It is now the case with the new
single which was #1 on August 1st ! Congratulations
!
